Why have I suddenly put in all this stuff?

Anyone who's been looking at my stuff recently has surely noticed a sudden surge in material. This isn't due to some massive outburst of creativity, or for that matter, of simple egotism, but more as a response to the stimulus this website and its wonderfully varied, productive membership. Most of what I've been putting in is material I've had around for years which I've felt inspired to cast out there upon the electronic sea, much of it after some reworking. A fair amount is new, however, since thanks to this place I've been made aware of many more types of poetry and have decided to set myself the challenge of writing something of every different type I can. I reccommend this as a discipline; it can be difficult but I find the effort generally pays off. I am a little bit mentally hyper and the Soup is definitely proving to be some place I can put that to some productive use; I love the feedback and the cameraderie here and hope I can make a welcome prescence of myself over time.
