Hello to all....

I have been away for a week visiting my sister in Minnesota who is recovering from surgery for a brain tumor. I missed congratulating many of you on your recent wins. Please accept my congratulations here; there are too many for me to catch up.

I have posted my first contest titled "The Scent of Water." I hope many of you will write a fabulous poem on the theme of renewal. Check out the quidelines on the contest page. I will be offering a tangible prize for the first place winner. I have selected the prize for first place: a hardback copy of The English Spirit: The Little Gidding Anthology of English Spirituality.

Once more, thanks to all of you who made the effort to welcome me to this community. You are a blessing.

The title and idea grabbed me and I wrote for the contest within minutes of reading about it! Redemption and Salvation are two subjects I am very familiar with.

Thank you, sweet Olive. She is cancer free as of June. We had a celebration of that when I was there.
