IMPORTANT for The Scent of Water Contestants

To those Soupers who have entered my contest, The Scent of Water...

Thank you for your response! I am excited about judging the contest and finding who the winners are.

PLEASE check the contest instructions (read the full contest post) and correct your poems, if needed.

There are several poems that would place higher in the contest if they were written following the guidelines.  I plan to begin evaluating your poems--ready or not--on Sunday, July 20.

What part of the rules is being misunderstood? NO FREE VERSE, title The Scent of Water, say 'the scent of water IN the poem' that's it correct?

write 1. rule NO FREE VERSE 2. rule SCENT OF WATER is title 3. rule the PHRASE SCENT OF WATER .. MUST be in the poem as well ... make it BIG & RED - FAY REAL BIG

that's what I read too, Debs, but you would be surprised how many are doing free verse and not using the expression inside the poem itself. WEll, i saw a few and I let them know. Now I will feel stupid if I did something wrong too!!!!
