The people

You're all in my heart daily and it helps me stand a little taller when teaching people about love in the world. Love is complicated and not everyone understands it beyond commitment to one person. Love is commitment to the world, to everyone around us in some way. I want the war in Europe to end. I want the United States to redeem itself. I want Russia and Africa to know abundance. I want humanity to come of age. The blood of innocent people has stained enough ground in our history. I spent my whole life building homes and irrigating land to feed as many as I could. I want everyone to know a safe home and a table set for those they care about. What qualifies a person to teach about love? Getting up everyday and putting calloused hands to serve the world. I didn't do it to serve straight or gay people, white or black, rich or poor people. I did it to serve "The people." The people are all of those things and more. The people don't have to be taken with greed, or divided by political rhetoric. The people don't have to support the cruelties of their governments. The people have the power to love each other, forgive each other, and make this a life worth living. Power to the people...
