Finding your kingdom

Blog Posted by Lairyck Beliveau: 8/22/2024 7:00:00 PM
Yesterday someone said something to me. They said "I feel like a peasant at this job carrying stones and placing them." I guess that's the difference in spirit. I may have little in life but hard work never made me feel like a peasant. I felt like the king of the earth. The master of sand, gravel, stone and soil. I'm not willing to refuse self love for the tasks I preform. Everyday I could ask why me? But instead I ask everyday, what can I do better for those around me, how can I surpass who I was yesterday, and become who I need to be today. Your kingdom can be built from anything. The question is, how far are you willing to go in order to be worthy of that? Will you sacrifice for those who need you? Will you meet adversity with confidence? Will you lead when necessary and follow when required? Will you acknowledge your own mistakes and work with others to resolve them? Someone with money might think they're a king, but when a real king steps into their kingdom, it doesn't matter what they have. It matters who is standing beside them. The kingdom is neither land, nor wealth, nor commodity. The kingdom is the people and when they're with you in the fight, they will find as much purpose in fighting for you as the purpose you gave in serving them. A true king is infact not a ruler, but a servant to which loyalty has been earned. Serving others doesn't make anyone a peasant, but I can promise if you choose only to serve yourself, you'll never have a kingdom of your own.
