Hi Lay! Best wishes with the judging. I know it can be a little difficult, Constance has given you real good advice here. Good luck and we'll see you soon. Always, Annalise

Well, Lay, it is up to you as the sponsor, but usually we go 1-10 and sometimes we give multiple placements, just look at some of the judged contest to see how it looks, only 1-10 get ranking points, 11-15 and HM's are just recognition of the poem, some judges don't even go beyond 1-2-3-I am more of a multiple placement sort of judge, I feel it encourages the poets to see their poems honored, but in the end, it is your choice how you do it, best of luck, it is never an easy task~~

Judging is always tough, Lay. Is this your first contest? You will be allowed to place rankings from 1-15 and as many honorable mentions as you wish. When I judge, I usually have a lot of ties for placements because I have a tough time making decisions. Don't take me to a restaurant unless it's a buffet because I can stare at a menu for an hour. I've been reading a lot of your entries as they came in and they really are very impressive. It's not easy looking back at a "dark" memory and writing about it, but Soup members really rose to the challenge. Take your time judging and try to get some rest this weekend. Love, Carolyn
