Yesterday, I received my copy of this incredible book, written by Poetry Soup author, Emile Pinet. It was awarded to me as a prize in one of his recent contests. If anyone is interested in reading the works of this talented poet, you will not be disappointed in your purchase. When I opened the pages, I discovered the windows he opened, closets explored, and the doors he's left ajar for his readers. Thank you for such a treasure, Emile.

Jenna, thank you for the blog, I also won his latest poetry book, Emotional Entanglement in one of his recent contest, and have won all of his other poetry books in various past contests, overtime You are right Emile is talented and gifted and brings so much beauty to his words. Any of his books is worth whatever they cost and a must for all poets. I really appreciate how he puts below each poem the form he is writing, that is helpful as a learning tool. I, too, won a copy of Emile's book. I have read through it once and started through a second time. This book is a joy to read, and I highly recommend it. Emile touches every facet of nature and humanity. He writes with compassion, understanding, and unfettered emotion. And, he is a master of every format, style, and form of poetry. An amazing collection, and I'm proud to say Emile is one of OUR poets!!! I am a fan!

He's gone to great lengths to assure his readers comprehend poetic forms, but beneath each poem he's included in his book, he gives the form used. His teaching quality is evident and would be helpful to anyone who writes poetry, beginner or experienced. Thanks, Milt.

Jenna, I agree with your assessment that an Emile book of poetry is a treasure. Not only is he an exceptionally astute observer of life and a master painter of life's emotional landscapes, he is also keen to educate others. His book "A Match in the Dark" describes many forms of poetry which he illustrates with excellent examples of his own creation. In addition, he very generously devoted many pages of his book to showcase other Soup poets with a selected poem and one-page bio. A treasure indeed!

That sounds like a book I'd also like to have. Not only does he describe forms I've not heard of but explains them in great detail. Emile is a generous poet, sharing his talent with us as well as offering his books to many of us.

I'm a fan of Emile's. He's a great poet. I have 3---"Scattered Thoughts", "Navigating The Backwaters Of My Mind" and "A Match In The Dark"---of his books already so I'll definitely get this one as well. Thanks for the scoop, Jenna:-) Happy Halloween!
