Do You Have Any Children?

"Do you have any children?' I am asked often.
"I live with a bunch of animals," I always tell them.
They all laugh thinking I've amusingly insulted my children.
They have no idea that I'm literally sharing the truth with all of them.

I'm proud to say that all of my room mates are rescues and would have died had I not intervened. My most heartbreaking rescue was Lucy, the red eared slider terrapin. Her previous owners threw her out in the trash when they didn't want her anymore.

I have two children a son and a daughter, two cats, brother and sister, Boycie and Marlene, a Springer spaniel, Barley, two Cocker spaniels, Ruby and Digby, a beagle, George, a beagle crossed with a Jack Russell, Dobie and a border terrier, Treacle. Then ten lovely hens, a right menagerie!!!

Amazing, Billy. I have one black cat and a black dog (like a Snickers bar). The black cat has eyes like one of yours. It's interesting how your other black cat's eyes seem aqua colored! Oh, and turtle I found out , is my totem!

Sweet blog Billy - I call my son 'monster' BUT it's after a song he used to like lol:-) I adore cats but sadly I have an allergy to their fur:-) hugs Jan xx

Love it! Billy, your angel directed us to a rescue mission, just this Friday!!! We have rescued a tiny kitten who cannot even lap water or eat solid food. We are bottle feeding it Kitten Milk Replacement formula and I have to help it eliminate, too (gentle stimulation with facial tissues.) We've named the wee thing "Mischief" and it seems to be thriving... but we've a whiles a way to go. It's a fighter and wants to live. It's only 6 oz, can fit on my hand. We waited two days, to ensure mommy cat had truly abandoned it. It was found under the shed of a vacant house.. it toddles and is teething... Life just got more interesting in our home. Please, thank your angel... HUGS. Cyndi
