Thanks for your inspiration Raul. Win or not, we are writing poetry which should make everyone smile. Congratulations to the winners and everyone else who came up with a poem to fit the picture. Karen

OH, boy, I KNEW I probably wouldn't win in THIS one Haha. Mine was just not a bit haiku-ish, But I read alot of really cute or funny ones, Raul. And concerning that great haiku debate here in the blogs, I wanted you to know, I get a really big kick out of readng the ones entered in your contests! I truly look forward to your pictures and trying to be inspired (the caterpillar, not so much, haha). I have many "haiku master" type friends who always tell me, "andrea, you do not know how to do a proper haiku", but I feel my winning ones here as well as many others that win here, are very descriptive and enjoyable, and for me , that is what it's all about! enjoying what you read. Seeing the contest winners and reading all of them, "contemporary or not" they are a joy to see. LUv,Andrea

Raul, thanks so much for putting in the time to run these contests. First of all, I enjoy the photos themselves. Secondly, I love the mind-challenge to match words against the picture. And, lastly, I love discovering the creativity of the other entries in the contest. I make sure I do not read any entries until I have written my own - so as not to steal or be influenced by someone else's genius. Anyways - thanks again.

Like Constance I just saw the gorgeous photo of the tiger.. I am a leopard lady myself but jungle cats are special to me as I decorate in animal prints when I see one I cannot resist... good luck with your new contest... luv.. Linda-Marie..

Congrats to all the winners with their wonderful Haiku's of description for the caterpillar.. they were awesome and amazing writes... thankxxx for my placement Raul for The Green Mile ... I based my title on the well known movie seeing the caterpillar as a prisoner of his own body until he awakens in the metamorphosis of transformation to a beautiful butterfly... challenges unending as u continually expand our horizons in writing with your superb contests and photos... luv..
