Oh, I see, it’s absolutely

Acceptable for the seniors

To take a two-year cut in pay-

What the no COLA amounts to

yet the physicians are squabbling

over their part in reducing

the deficit by accepting

the impending Medicare cuts.

Threatening to leave the program

Unless the subsidies remain

The status quo. What a greedy

Lot! I suggest that they reread

The Hippocratic Oath they once

Swore before they earned their first dime.

You need our health care system. Yes, we do wait and few hours to see the doctor but it is free or I should say our taxes pay for our visits. The doctors do get a good wage and they work very hard. We do not pay a cent to see a doctor. We do pay for a prescription and if you are over 65 you pay 15.00 per prescription unless it is not approved by the drug plan. In the drug plan if you are not covered by work you pay the first 850.00 and after that health care takes care of the rest. If you cannot afford it you can apply for help. We cannot complain about our system at all. They are trying to improve the bad areas which are long waits for surgery because we do not have enough surgeons. They head to the States because the money is so good. But then you pay dearly. God Bless Phyl

I asked my Doctor once how many patients he sees a day....he said "if I don't kill it, I don't eat it" oh...I try to have something surprising, funny or absurd to mention to him first thing when I see him late in the afternoon when I schedule my appt's because otherwise he nods-off right in front of you during your 3-mn. visit and leaves to get your "script-papers" and never returns!!!!! a hooot!!!!! jimbo

I hate to see seniors getting the shaft from politicians. This vulnerable age group will be struggling even more as inflation continues to rise. As for the doctors, refusing to provide services to poor elders is unconscionable. We should all be supporting each other during these tough economic times. Let's hope the new members of Congress can address this problem pronto. Best wishes, Carolyn

There is no increase or reduction planned by our Marxist regime for seniors, however, there are major cecreaes planned for the people doing the services. Actually, we all shouls have exactly the same coverage as our "elected" officials, our self serving public "servants. What's fair is fair. They supposedly "work" (yeah, right) for us but get coverage unheard of in today's society. God help the next generation. Vince

The three comments made so far have missed the mark completely. The two year no COLA was initiated to help reduce the deficit. The seniors had no voice in that decision. The $500billion Medicare subsidies cuts were passed into law by both houses of congress to help pay for the health care of thirty-plus million Americans. But now the physician’s constituencies are now calling “Foul!” Hey, what’s good for the goose is also good for the gander.

Politicians are mostly lawyers. So, it doesn't matter how you make your fortune, actor, doctor, athlete, or thief, they want a piece of it. Don't blame the doctors. I'd rather have a home between two nuclear waste dumps than between two lawyers. Lawyers and politicians are taking big bucks from the doctors and the patients and then feeds the fire to keep both sides feuding. Vince

Doctors make you wait forever. Your time is money too. But just try to miss an appt with one of THEM, and see how they try to charge you for it! I have not yet found a doctor who even knows what he/she is doing. Good grief, if I ever find a good doctor, I shall be in heaven!
