W C W is he a poet for you too? - Brian Strand's Blog

William Carlos Williams , (Puerto-Rican & American ) poet has been a great stimulation to my poetic development for like myself he  had a great affinity with  both poetry and a long standing interest in painting.

Also again, in common with me he was a prolific poet,an imagist (but with a modern verse style.)

Has some extraraneous everyday common or garden note, article ,happening etc suddenly inspired you to create a piece of poetry.( just as happened it is thought ,with WCW)

Ezra felt this to be true

             a discipline he said

             and he would know

anyway

I picked up this pen 

let it loose

                  upon this page

just as WCW did

with 'her 'reply' to his 'just to say'

                   matter of fact

                   so every day

a note husband to wife

can become so well read

albeit

              after the poet's
