MY CRITERIA etc FOR SPONSORING CONTESTS

Firstly, I consider PS to be a workshop for those interested in poetry.(It is like nightschool was in a pre-digital age./Contests are a fun way to try out our poems on our peer poets in this generall friendly workshop./Premier contests have added inhouse value with the permanent avator emblem in the winners anthology./ Standard contests that (I have just started this month) will allow me to acknowledge the quality of more than just 10 places ,which was always a problem for me in the Premier contests ./Premier or Standard I judge blind , thereby avoiding the bias I might have from long standing digital friendship over the past 10 years./ My Premiers and Standards always have a line max, but a 'free ' theme./.I am always happy for poets to submit from their back catalogue. One reason poets might submit a poem(from their back catalogue) that had won previously is because that win could have been before PS introduced the Premier format with the 'avator link distinction' to Standard contests( this too is fine with me).
Running contests is an easy access way for me to read the talented poets who share here every day, this is why I ran so many.I confess though one can become stale with too much of a goodthing so have switched to a monthly basis for both my Premier and Standard contests.
Thank you one and all for entering my contests and best wishes to my fellow sponsors who do such a great job in helping to make PS such an interesting place to visit each day, this place would not be the same without you
