**************************

My biography will be very limited for now.   Here , I can express myself in poetic form but in real life I much rather prefer to be far less forward  I am a 60 year old American citizen , born and raised in the glorious South! A heritage that I am very proud of and thank God for as it is a blessing indeed ~

Currently married to my beautiful young wife(Riza) a lovely filipina  lady and we have a fantastic 7 year old son, Justin ~

I have truly lived a very wild life as a younger man but now find myself finally very happily settled down for the duration of my life~

I decided to rest here and express myself with hopes that it may in some way help others, for I see here a very diverse  and fine gathering of poets, artists, and caring folks~

Quickly finding friends here that amaze me with such great talent~~

I invite any and all to comment on my writes and send me soup mail to discuss

whatever seems important to them ~

In this universe we are indeed as mortals "a speck of dust", but so much more as souls. We are channels, for our creativity comes from someplace else through the soul. We have power that we are connected to and we can stand wit"hout giving in to the darkness. "Tyrrhenian Sea" quite a beautiful write. "What Power Remains In Splashing Of Mere Poetic Ink"; this has great depth.

I enjoyed reading and learning about the Tyrrhenian Sea. Your poem about it is my favorite from the group in this blog. I was just thinking of you and your son the other day while driving home from work. Still praying for you both.

To The Blue-Gleaming Waters Of The Tyrrhenian Sea-aww Robert, this one is soo beautiful, and though all of these poems are masterful words of art spoken directly from your heart, this one is my favorite, it’s the light of your love and your tether in the darkness. Keep that light in your heart. God Bless :)

We are but dust, shaped from earth’s crust, yet enlivened by Holy Spirit’s thrust ~ The pain that comes our way, making blue skies seem grey, transmuted to God yearning goes away ~ As such, we are complete, surrendered at God’s feet, with blissful inner peace replete

You have been so much, my dear friend. I wish I could take your pain away. (I would, if I could). I am sending you (((hugs))) along the wind. Writing is a way to release those emotions of the heart, and you are able to do that. This is so tender and heartfelt. Keep looking up, because God is watching over you. Many wonderful blessings to you. Hugs, Brandy

You are one who overcomes! And more importantly, to me, you shine light into our souls. Do not apologize in the end of this piece to any air headed poet. here. If they don’t like your poetry, there are hundreds of other poets here. I am not an intellectualist. Nor do I put any Poet on a pedestal..that gives people fat egos! We do not need a reason or cause or a justification to write. We just write. That is what poets do. Panagiota

Again you amaze us with an informative blog Robert, there is indeed darkness in our world and we all step into the darkness from time to time, but there is light too and we have to let that light in to our lives if we are to succeed and try and move on. I know your dear wife encouraged you to write because she knew it was your passion. Tom

You have said that you do not feel like a poet these days. you ARE a poet, Robert, and these kinds of heart-felt poems prove it. Your life has been a horrible struggle these past several years. i pray you can carry on and stay strong for your son. wow, that first poem is so profound.

This is a compilation born from a continuing struggle. A constant battle from within, as to whether I must write or else sacrifice that deep and lifelong passion to the epic pains of deepest loss that I now suffer. Forgive me, if it bores or proves to be insufficient to either entertain, inform or measure up to a level that its depths of true poetic heart has thus sought to express..
