Dear Soup Community,

This is embarrassing, but last week I posted a blog while belligerantly intoxicated (I do not even remember writing and posting it), and I removed it as soon as I woke up the next morning and became aware of it.

I want to sincerely apologize to anyone who was unfortunate enough to happen upon that blog, as it was an ego-driven political rant and was completely vile and profane.

I won't go into further detail, but my sincerest apologies, I am going to be taking a hiatus from this site and work on not being a raging and rambling alcoholic spewing hate online.

We all make mistakes though not all are brave enough to admit and apologize... for that I salute you. Just a side note... although you were intoxicated, those were your words and feelings at your most uninhibited. I have no idea what you wrote but perhaps you should talk to someone you trust about it? I hope you find peace of mind about whatever was bothering you. Thanks for your brave apology and confession. I pray you defeat your demons. Xo<3

Thank you, Crystol, for your kind words. What I wrote was a drunken and severe political message employing hate out of frustration for feeling persecuted by a system and its supporters, but it was not a useful or honest way to express how I feel. Tbh the nuance of poetry wasn't doing the trick, and this is not the forum lol, as you recognize in suggesting talking to someone. You're very thoughtful and I appreciate it.

Writing can be catharsis too - don't disappear - write it out! Who knows, maybe that's what you needed to make a change. Dude, you have no idea how bad I used to drink/rage, but that's coming up on 20 years in the rear view mirror. Life is wonderful, but sometimes it takes a real shake-up before we discover that. I saw your blog and commented on it. It was inappropriate and unhinged but we all do things we are not proud of. We all need to vent once in a while. With this blog you have shown great character and a capacity for self-reflection, and for that you should be proud.
