**************************

My biography will be very limited for now.   Here , I can express myself in poetic form but in real life I much rather prefer to be far less forward  I am a 60 year old American citizen , born and raised in the glorious South! A heritage that I am very proud of and thank God for as it is a blessing indeed ~

Currently married to my beautiful young wife(Riza) a lovely filipina  lady and we have a fantastic 7 year old son, Justin ~

I have truly lived a very wild life as a younger man but now find myself finally very happily settled down for the duration of my life~

I decided to rest here and express myself with hopes that it may in some way help others, for I see here a very diverse  and fine gathering of poets, artists, and caring folks~

Quickly finding friends here that amaze me with such great talent~~

I invite any and all to comment on my writes and send me soup mail to discuss

whatever seems important to them ~

Poe and Jerry Lee Lewis loving themselves some cousins. Interesting reading about Poe's life. I hope you finish that poem you included at the end.

Sad part about the blog is the information that I had to delete to get it to post. I tried 4 times to post it until finally I DELETED A LARGE part of the information text. The 5th time it posted. And that deleted part was a very important part of the blog, imho...

Thank you my friend. True there was that but in Poe's time marrying a cousin was a far more common thing than it is in these modern times. I had only this morn thought about finishing that poem fragment- but decided to put it off a bit. As need time to be in the right spirit/mood to do it proper service-as such will take a lot to get correct and stay in context and in flow with the original intent of that idealistic and rampaging young poet that started it centuries ago!

Thank you my friend. Always a joy for me to give back to poetry. Especially so in my blogs about the great poets that have so influenced, inspired and thus so affected so many tens of millions of us. Poe being one of those golden poets of old- that did so very much to shine light upon poetry-its gems, treasures and joys gifted to this too oft dark world. God bless..

A master talent Robert,(both you& him) ..my tribute a decade back was a 'list cinquain where L1 is a statement followed by rhymed L2-5 that amplify the statement with words introduced by 'in the' by the ' of the'.I labelledt this an eap after Edgar Allan Poe as it is inspired by soliloquy in this format in the conclusion of his essay Poetic Principle.

true, Poe was indeed a great teacher. His poetry should be studied by every serious new poet, imho. As he set so very many literary standards and his critical works are indeed treasured gems to learn from..

Thank you my very learned friend. One can do no better than that of studying the true poetic genius- Edgar Allan Poe. And not just his poetry but as well his short stories and his life. Such a talent that died a tragic death. And a poet that gave so much to poetry and to this dark world. He cast light upon the darkness and did so with magnificent style, flair, insight , courage, knowledge , talent and vision... God bless..

An amazing writer truly and one of my favorites, The Raven, being my best, along with The Tell-Tale Heart and The Fall of the House of Usher. A magnificent share of welcoming enlightenment upon your normal exposé of notable writers, Robert, for it dealt preciously through the rare overcast of this Hawaiian morn, Aloha!

Thank you my friend, your comment truly speaks so well about the greatness of Poe. And the poems you cited, both are fantastic examples of his poetic genius, and artistry. I agree with you completely- the Raven is to me the best. And to be the best in the many truly awesome poems he wrote is indeed to be in a lofty and stratospheric level. God bless my friend...

Thank you my friend. When I write about Poe, it may take a lot of time but the pleasure and joy of honoring such a great poet compensates. The greatest task is for me to measure up in my original pieces honoring him. I can only then do my very best and pray that it may be worthy.. God bless...
