Window cleaning on the Enterprise by the Bored Bard

Window cleaning on the Enterprise
I’ve got this little contract
From the Starship Enterprise
To clean all the windows
On the inside and outside
The captain called me to his room
Said, “I want a proper job”
“I want the windows sparkling”
So he put it in his log
“Start date 1624
We’ve employed a window cleaner
To boldly go where no man’s gone
To make the ship look cleaner”
So I bought a yellow bucket
Some squeegees and some cloths
Cos I knew I’d be away from home
For at many, many months
There are loads and loads of windows
On the Star ship Enterprise
I cleaned them till they sparkled
As the stars went whizzing by
Uhura. she was very fussy
She didn’t like the drips
So when I cleaned her windows
I made sure I closed my lips
Now Chekov cannot pronounced his Vs
He worked on this Starship Wessle
Said “can you clean my Welux please ”
“Sure” I said “No hassle”
After 16 months continual rubbing
And always on the go
Someone shouted “that’s a wrap”
And it was time to go.
The captain put on his coat
Spock removed his ears
Chekov said it ”very good”
And Spock pulled out a beer...”Cheers!”
It was fun working on a Starship
To clean and boldly go
But none of it was really true
It was a sixties TV show.......................................or was it?
