What I Once Was
What I Once Was
What was I but a memory long gone.
Fate dealt her hand much faster than intended,
erasing what was left.
Stripped of all that was me, changing though not for the better. Struggles consume me I fight a daily battle,
normal? Not even sure I remember what it even is.
Hiding behind laughs, smiles and jokes no one sees my mask I wear, that hides my hurts, fears and doubts. Pain is a real existence that cannot be escaped. This is what's left of what I call me.
