The Best For Us
I was not looking
But suddenly found
The one I’ve been waiting for
Since I’ve been on this ground.
I wanted to wait
For the timing was bad,
With so much going on
But now I am glad.
You are totally different
From all the rest,
I know in my heart
That YOU are the best.
The best for me
The best for us,
We’ll stick together
Through any fuss.
We don’t need drugs to get us high,
For we have each other
Without any lie.
You wouldn’t change me,
I wouldn’t change you;
That is the fact
That makes us true.
We’re on the same wave
And can express ourselves,
Without anyone being
Upon any shelves.
You bring out the best in me -
For I was lost,
But now I can see
You’re real without any cost.
You’re considerate, caring and sincere
You fill my heart without a tear.
I love your affection with all my heart,
I know for a fact this is only the start.
