Ooshka

ooshka is Scottish Gaelic for 'water'

                                            OOSHKA

Edge of warm, edge of stillness
edge of shaking sands
fields of blue, touching you
moving on, moving on.

Floating mass in sea of Ooshka
see the glass, it's breathing cold
it's silky light in rainbow colours
going on, going on.

Million shores with foaming silver
sleeping, walking, through the stars
dreaming image of Azura rivers
holding on, holding on.

See the sea birds disappear
but their watching from the shore
Ooshka melting waves of sweetness
looking on, looking on.

Snow white waves on smoky pillows
taking back the all it gave
floating dreams forever fading
then it's gone, then it's gone.

Ooshka melting waves of sweetness, then its gone, then its gone.

Score one for water ! I love this smooth and enticing form, fluid and refreshing. Ooshka surrounding. Brain-bathing delight.

The same yet different, to touch yet not to hold. Aptly described. Good choice of words. Hope you are still about and have more poetry up your sleeve. Regards David in NZ now 4 years cancer free.
