Choices

What did you do
Early in life
Did you do wrong or
Did you do right
Were there choices
That came your way
Which way did you turn
Which way did you sway

Look back I pray
To your early days
What friends you had
What games you played
What choiuces you faced
What choices you had
All made a difference
If you were good or bad

Are you now wondering
Where the time went
Not having success
Your choices all spent
Blame not your family
Your school or friends
Nor local federal
Or state departments

Only one is to blame
For good choices missed
One after another
Not achieving your bliss
Look back I pray
To those early days
Consider your choices
Consider your ways

Sounds much like Buddha, "With every thought and action, you alone create the world you live in." Now if we could only get everybody else to think like this :)
