Some Day
Thoughts I have running through my mind
Things I dare not even say
I curse the feeling I hoped to leave behind
These thoughts I fight to push away
In a bittersweet twist of fate
All I have feared has come to pass
Memories of love turned to hate
My own worst fears closing fast
Dare I dream of what could be
To look ahead and forget the past
If only a glimpse of the future I could see
What destiny has in store at last
If only somehow I could see inside
That which is written in your heart
To find the courage to set aside
That which has torn my world apart
For now I struggle just to find my way
Through this journey with no end
To make it to that final day
Where I can count you as more than just a friend
