Crossroad

A path led to a crossroad in life
Time passing before one's eyes
Just as day turns into night
Years pass by with blinding light
A path chosen long ago
Ebbs like a tide, at this crossroad
Weighing heavy upon the mind
So vexing a decision
A heart and soul intertwined
A heart-felt feeling to be ensued
Time to move on, though love remains strong and true
Two souls in love, yearning for different things
Happiness, for one, will be the sacrifice made
Love without happiness only breeds hate
Without compromise, a path must be changed
Unyielding a burden, A decision to be made
Crossroads, God's hints of needed change
