The poem(s) are below...

The Darkness

I can feel it watching me
It’s hunger seeks devouring
Seeping through the cracks between
Things which are, but can’t be seen

Planting of the doubting seed
It’s power to twist everything
To it’s own reality

In the darkness it will feed
On every fear that’s haunting me
But I find hope now in it’s greed
The truth will wake me from the dream

Wow, this is very cool. The darkness can definitely be a barrier to our dreams but once we open our eyes, hope is endless. Nicely done.

Great write, everything appears much worse in the darkness and you have captured those feelings well.

I love the rhyme scheme you have going on and the hope you invoke at the end of your poem. Nice rhythm as well. Welcome to poetrysoup!
