Confession of the Broken

When brokenness overtakes your whole.
Darkness overtakes your soul.
When all anyone sees is what you lack.
You pray and listen but it feels as if even GOD doesn't have your back.
When those who you'd give the world to because of love.
Confirm to you that love is a sham and the world is not enough.
Cause your perfection is flawed by public perception.
Half hearted stories lead to misjudged opinions and perceptions.
When your past is your present and the future in one.
Mistakes and missteps follow you no matter how fast you run.
Cause memories dictate present action and so
You want to hold on to what should of been let go.
It's cold.
It's my fault.
No victim here simply stating the facts.
Death comes slow to those who hearts only wants love back.
And there is no IV or remedy to ease or cure this pain.
Just words on paper and prayers to hold you again.
