Be Still

Take a breath
Inhale slowly you are here
Fear has left the building
With its weapons and large hands
No need for apologies here
It is calm
The climax has passed
You were not broken all you had to say was hi
To the serial killer who is gone now disappeared in the air
Be still
The months turn to years
But here there will be no demolishing
Your arteries can still pump blood your
Heart is not broken never will be
Only palpitations
You will not die here
You will only stop surviving
The end of the story will be a prequel

Take a breath one more two more three more
Until you can feel your hands again
Underestimate the feeling of leaving
Impermanence will be your friend again
You will leave notes on the side of the car
Again saying I meant it and I'm sorry
Until your eyes close forever
You will let them leak
And the morning you can't feel the pain
Like it did before
It will be better
Your heart is not broken
Unless it
Stops
