Solitude and Contemplation

The world is at rest, the souls next to me are in deep slumber
A few might remain awake, and this body wont cooperate
Is it my body? Or my mind? Or my heart?
For after all these years, I love you from the start

The moment our eyes laid upon each other
As if our souls intertwined when we first met
The moment I realized you want someone else, I didn’t bother
Although its slowly tearing up my world that was so delicate…

This poem, is dull, lifeless
For I used to write with eager, joy and excitement!
Velvet, rich words like how a child sees its environment
Where are you, do I call you inner child? Tell me youre at rest..
So Ill know youll wake up again

Tortures? Pain? At a delicate age wherein a soul is finding its identiy
At a delicate time wherein a soul is being formed and shaped
Move on, pain that came from an urequited love
From an abused, immature and neglected love
From a strangled existence.
Now is the time to see the world at a new light
Its done, do your best to heal the wound
Wounds leave scars
But you cant move on from those scars...
And the imprint is still there..
But theres no way out
YOU are the way out
