Bare

What sort of trickery
As brought misery
On this house made of dream
Burned in the tears, a stream

I know I'd swore it wouldn't come to this
There is no penance for me in all this
I've failed you, I realise, quite accutely
And that's why I offer my hand so feebly

Would you show me mercy?
Grant me some complacency?
But then, you did knock my hand away
I guess I've lost everything on this day

This one morning solemn in May
When the sun beamed, a ray
Illuminating this court we used to share
As I die, can you see I offered myself bare?

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
