A Clear Picture Within

Within me there is a spot that must be filled
Trying to find the cure to make it disappear, yet causing my spirit to be killed
Within me there is an empty spot
Testing a million things, causing my insides to rot
Within me, I cannot stand what I see
Emptimess, open, but no longer recognizing me
Within me, it is cold, uncomfortable, but I can understand
When words hurt worse than the strike of a hand
Within me I know there are things that I must change
Yet my fear causes me to feel the threat of rearrange
Within me I can see
That if changes never occur then happy is something that I will never be

excellent write, looking inward is always difficult. the last line brings this write together nicely. i hope it is fiction.
