To Hold a Woman's Heart
To hold a woman's Heart a man must be;
Solid as Granite
Yet
Soft like a kitten,
Ravenous like a Bear
Yet
Tender as a Puppy.
He must understand the complexities of her heart
and treasure the thoughts in her mind.
He must be willing to nourish her soul
and make sure her beauty is recognized.
Her trust must never be broken and her faith never taken for granted.
The man must be stern in his thoughts
Yet
Flexible in his actions.
Because like the seasons of the year she reserves the right to change.
It is his responsibility to learn how to adapt,
so he can encourage the growth and beauty of her rose.
He must be the thorn that keeps her safe and the sun she opens up to.
Providing the dew upon her peddles.
Lost forever in the scent of her originality.
He must be the leader, but not too proud to follow,
thus enabling him to walk forever by her side.
