Warning To a Stranger
Upon the hilltop darkened deep
Sat a house in fitful sleep
They sat and watched, and no sound came
From the two in their fame
The first one spoke, sollem and still
"Look at them. Useless. Let me kill.
It will be quick and free of pain,
and on their beds they will be lain."
The other said, "I'll be the one
to make sure they don't see the sun.
I have been here, usless so long.
I'll make them fear me and my song."
A third voice, saying, "Panic and pain,
Pretty names, but you're both insane.
For I am Death, they fear my name
And you two must do the same."
With an ice cold touch, the two both fell.
Just as the clock struck it's bell
One , two, all the way to twelve
And all was silent, nevermore to delve
So if you feel an ice cold breath
Your time is near, can't hide from death
For you met the raven, Death's personal servant
You will die soon, though your prayers be fervent
So take heed and take warning
It may come at eve or moning
But come it may and come it must
For though death isn't fair, death is just
Nobody knows when their time will come
But know this now, what's done is done
The door is closed, you can't go back
Your death will come, and all will be black
And you will know, nevermore.
