Jamie

God blessed me with a son,
From nothing I had done.

God gave me a chance to open up my home,
Not knowing how soon the heart ache would come.

He was only here for a little while,
But he always made me smile.

As I put him on the bus,
Trying hard not to make a fuss.

Walking to the car, tears streaming down my face,
Not knowing when we would have our next embrace.

Thinking of all the things I wish I would have said,
All these crazy thoughts running through my head.

I thank the Lord above,
That he let me share His Love!

With this very special son,
From nothing I had done.

Nothing to deserve such treasure,
God gives above all measure.

I hope he always knows,
No matter where he goes,

I am always here for him,
I will always let him in.
