Crimson
The heat is intense but bearable.
Flickering of flames shows my future,
Full of life, love, and forgiveness.
I can finally move on beyond the cold.
The flick of a lighter catches my attention,
It is loud, people shouting.
But the fire calms me. All I need to that light to guide me,
To keep things quiet in my head.
The flame stays steady in the chaos,
A true miracle of elemental proportions.
