Flaming Lips

Your kiss burns like past discrepancies
There’s no pain in the way I ache
More ache in the way I pain
Each movement is another reminder
Sometimes what is familiar can yield new light
You sting like our touching tears
Hold you closer to the flame
You always wanted this
We’re altered minds
With constant hearts
Strange how thoughts come full circle
How fluttering insides speak of old charms
So much comfort in this groove
Some collisions exhale opportunity
Inevitable as the rise and fall of the sun
Your touch burns like new ideals
Sinking in like that setting sun
Slow rise of what’s to come
We could claim insanity
Feed off desire ‘til it runs dry
Let the moments burn
We’ll wait for altered hearts
