Spring

A new beginning opening up. The buttercup,
The daffodil, the song bird's trill. Like being
Young again the bursting forth with the new
Without a thought of rembmebering. Recalling
Not the toil and strife of winter's blight, but,
Wallowing in the joyous birth as we seek to
Bathe ourselves in it as if it never was before.

Old winter left his mark - a blow. The pounding
Of the wind and drifting snow. Dreariness is In
Our Thanks and makes its way into our soul.
Lest we complain, we strive again to make our
Way to something sweet, a fond retreat into
The mind of fresh and new.

Dreaming of a summer's day. A trip to some
delicious beach with sparkling water in our
reach and running sand between our tows.
And, so it goes till spring is here and nature
plays her symphony of life again.
