Standing,wating,wondering whats going to happen
Staring into my soul
Seeing myself in your eyes
Palms sweating, heart throbbing,
Mind going blank, body going numb
One step forward
Your eyes let me know whats next
My head is saying no
My heart has a different view
One step forward
Your lips touch my lips
My heart stops, my head starts to spin
My body wants to melt
The world around us seems to have stopped
At that moment we are the only two beings who exist
One step back
no one step forward
Breath gone, body weaken by your touch
Heart drumming to a new beat that I have not known
Thoughts racing threw my mind
Is this the one, no it can't be its to soon to know
Or is it?
And then i see you staring into my eyes
Looking to see if you can read my thoughts
As if you were searching for an answer and trying
to make since of what just happened
With that i thought to myself
Just one step forward
One step at a time
And we will find what we are searching for
