False Happiness
Why am I not happy?
I have every reason to be,
For the better part
To Soar with joy.
The joy though, is nonexistant
I still sorrow.
Troubled by thoughts, I was,
But now, I am consumed by them.
Thoughts, slowly drive this one insane.
They are never shared with anyone.
My pain is so great,
Thus, it cannot be shared.
Overwhelming, destroying,
Crushing pain affects this one.
Others see it seldomly,
When they do, they worry.
There is a way,
A way to stop the worrying.
To hide all the pain of this one,
Making it so it is never seen.
Just to smile,
To hide all the pain behind your eyes,
To just leave it there,
Even if the amount of pain grows.
Leave the pain behind my eyes.
