Gone

I can see your shadow
It seems to be following me
I thought I was here alone
But not as it turned out to be.
Your shoes are no longer sitting
By the door
Your clothes that you've never picked up
Are no longer on the floor.

The scent of your cologne is wafting
Around the room
The brush on the bathroom sink has
Seems to be gone too.

The closet that usually is full of clothes
Has only hangers that are rocking to and fro.
The dresser's drawers are all pulled apart.
It seems so suddenly that you've had a change
Of heart.
