Shades of Grey
i search for truth in the lies of your vanity
i search for wisdom in the talks you hurl
i search for answers in the questions you reflect
i search for love in the aversion you display
i know for sure, no soul is dark
we all are just shades of grey
to look at a glass half full
is an art i yearn to possess
the idea of being a posse
often flirts through my brains.
the idea of flaunting clemency
often riddles my heed
but then i realise this
we need no vigelante to probe
the evil, relentless to cause meyham
we need no heroes, no guns , no grenades
to kill the darkness of the days
for i know for sure,no soul is dark
we all are just shades of grey.
and if we could just acknowledge
a man's better traits
without a hero, a gun, a grenade
we can make this planet a better place.
