Time held us together
as we pushed the hands of fate
knowing it's better to be forgiving
than a heart consumed by hate.
It didn't make sense for you to walk away
now, I'm a distant memory
like the storm clouds of yesterday.
when i ate up your thoughts
you spit out my dreams
now you hold on to sleepless nights
foolish as it seems.
Alone you stay scarred
with a heart less than broken
I just wanted to say goodbye
but those words were never spoken
So, i weighed my heavy heart
against Yours beating less than zero
you made me out to be the villain
when all i ever wanted was just to be your hero...
