Marlaina’s Midnight Tears

In the hush of night, when the world feels still,?
Marlaina weeps behind the window sill.?
The stars don’t blink, the moon won’t speak,?
Her heart breaks soft, yet painfully deep.

She holds her chest like it might fall apart,?
Counting the cracks carved into her heart.?
Was she not enough? Did she love too wide??
Questions echo when no one's by her side.

She wonders aloud through trembling sighs,
?"If I am worthy, why do love’s flames die?"?
Her voice, a whisper soaked in ache,?
A soul asking how much more she can take.

But beyond the silence, in shadows of fear,?
Are voices that stay, soft and clear.
?Close friends gather where heartbreak has been,?
They patch her wounds from the outside in.

They do not flinch at her salt-streaked face,
?Or the shattered dreams she can't erase.?
They know her strength beneath the pain,?
And remind her the sun will rise again.

She may not feel it now, not tonight,
?But her heart still pulses with flickers of light.?
And though love feels like a far-off shore,?
She’s not alone—she’s loved even more.

So let her cry until morning breaks,?
Let her feel all her soul can take.?
Because one day soon, she’ll breathe in grace,
?And learn to love from a softer place.
