LEFT ALONE

 Today I opened my cupboard,
I found your letters, kept in a box,
        Which you gave me,
The dried roses still smell like you,
Like your fragrance, like your love is still alive,
But then, I remember the tears you gave,
The way you left me alone, Depressed and heartbroken,
I still remember when I cried for you,
You smiled at me and moved on,
Like I was someone whom you never met,
Today, I feel you are vanishing,
        From my thoughts and life,
I hope never to see you again,
I don't want these letters with roses,
To haunt me with your memories,
Which gave me pain and sorrow,
I want to burn them, tear them apart,
        Like you broke my heart,
I want the fire to kill the fragrance,
That makes you alive in me.
