A light still shines

A light still shines
Endless hopes and endless dreams, That were shattered all in once, In agony and pain my brain screams, Your life shall stay in utter ruins. Amidst the path shrouded in mist, My heart stays and still insists, "The flames may flicker, but not get ceased, The darkness will fade and pain will get eased." My heart and mind two world's apart, Fight a battle between what feels true and what's right But I choose to believe that; A light still shines ethereal and bright.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts about a grim reality through your unique poetic style. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
