Bubble

Escaping this bubble
An impossible dream
Like counting every drop of water
That swims through the sea

All hope is lost here
All sense of time
I drown in my desires and fears
I can’t bring myself to life

All I can do is sit here and write
But I don’t know what to say
So I just sit here for awhile

Until it finally pours out on the page
But the words are never going to be enough
Because I’m always looking for a change

Never satisfied with my own being
Looking for the meaning in other’s lives, so fleeting.
Instead of getting up to live my own

Escaping this bubble
But when I leave I can’t breathe
I want to take my heart out of my chest
And put it away for safe keeping,
Because the way that it beats is too much to bear
Funny because I tell myself that I don’t really care.

A light is found here,
A bittersweet Hail Mary.
The emotions in the air
Bring me to my knees,
Thanking God for feelings.?
