The Universe of Me

I was kissed by mars with rose on my cheeks
I was touched by the stars with some moles on my feet
Venus gave me laughter you’ll hear when we meet
And the Sun blessed me with a smile they sing of in the streets

Earth gave me eyes full of rich chocolate and green
Mercury gave me words that’ll make you wanna scream
Jupiter gifted me this body that has never before been seen
And Uranus she gave a heart that some would call a feind

I however know, the most important bit is Saturn
Because she knows my soul, my thoughts and all my patterns
I am a collection of bits and bobs all the things that have mattered
And because I have been blessed, my heart will never be shattered

Some may think it’s strange, to see I love me more than you
But it’s important to remember we all think that too
You think you’re better with large hats and stark white shoes
But I know you’re lonely, underneath all your strange tattoos

Think back for a moment to when the world was so small
You whole life looked so beautiful and the trees oh so tall
But something changed from then to now, and maybe it was all
All those people who looked down on you, who said you can’t do that now cmon we gotta stall

You see you have to wait for things to change you can’t do it all alone
And no they can’t see your beauty, not on their own
They need some looking glasses to read and see how you’ve grown
We’re all unique and from stardust we were sewn

Mars gave me rosy cheeks, or natural blush she might say
And you you probably have some legs that have walked a long way
And you I can tell have eyes that seen many days
Remember people are fleeting, but you and your body will always stay

Treat yourself like a temple, worship all your scars and spots
Your mind will always grow but one day your body will stop
The tears will flow and your face will get hot
For you’ll be faced with your maker, or the stars and whatnot

They’ll wait with open arms and lay you back into the ground
Your funeral will start with people all around
Your body will decay and your soul cease a sound
And soon you will realize, peace is what you’ve found
