A Heart Scorched

Stab me
Beat me
Shoot me
And I bleed
But that’s nothing compared to what I feel now
You’ve taken my heart
And lit it ablaze
Scorching it until it crumbles
How can you do this to me
I was in love with you
I had fallen for you
And I told you about it
Yet you took my heart
And did everything to destroy it
Its in your hand
Beating, beating its last beats
But do you care
I was there for you
I am still here for you
And yet you cast me aside
Like I was food for the pigs
The rotten trash you needed to get rid of
How much more
Do I need to take
Wee I’m not anymore
You can find some other defenseless man
I’m done taking your humility
And your hurtful ways
But even through all this
I still love you
But the love I give
And the love you give
Are like opposite magnets
Pushing each other away
I still love you
But I must say goodbye
