The Old Man's Song

Plight in his words he reached a climax, slow in his gaze the melody carried a story of long
ago winters and tethered hands.

Old man Gray was pleased with the unveiling chorus, soft and strong, the wind stretched
between each breath as his mind raced towards the winding road.

Song of love had breached heart felt kisses, he leaned toward the nights where he lay all
alone in the deep embers of fire.

Lay low and sing a whisper, his voice was that of a very timed harp, short and sweet so
simply its sound,

The longest hour was upon him as he saw faces of anguish,

Relief was a sigh as the seconds came and spared the last word,

His tale is remembered in lives of kin,

Old man Gray flew into the mist still murmuring the song that was given at birth,

Spreading love and hope to all that heard his heart felt song.
