Upon Reflection

Behold my rebirth
As I take strides towards a brighter version of myself,
Emancipating from a darker existence.
As I begin to discover a revelation
As radiant as a star-studded night sky,

I venture closer to the mirror.
There, I feel the waves of self-doubt slowly diminish,
Re-acquainting myself with my solar plexus fashioned from stardust.
I find solace in this celestial composition that unveils the power within.

Behold a wondrous wave of self-determination
As I withstand woe.
In the fist of despair’s grip,
I drop the doubt of self-loathing baggage.

Untethering myself from a shattered psyche,
I scoop up the scattered fragments
While holding onto hallowed truths that quill me.

Behold my metamorphosis, as resilience blooms.
Upheld by the support from my ancestors’ kind yet fierce words of encouragement,
Which reverberate through me,
Replenishing me with strength and determination surpassing my wildest imagination.

For my rediscovery births, my emancipation
From the negative passenger that narrated my life.
Now, I have unearthed my inner strength,
It is finally time to take the reins of my own destiny.
