First Love
Back when I was eighteen, I found Love for the first Time. Back when I was eighteen, I didn't know what love wAs. Back when I was eighteen I thought I had you for all time, back when I was eighteen I had my heart broken for the first time.
When I lost you I didn't know what to do, I was so confused how to handle myself, where do I go and what do I do, the only person I wanted to Be with was you. With these thoughts racing through my head and your shadow in every place I've been, I had to leave, I had to get away, due to wanting only you in ever single way.
Year after year the days went By, I tried to live my life without you at my side. I've been through some relationships which I do not regret because I have my boys that love to death. But I can't help to think of what could have been in an alternate universe where I was your man.
Fourteen years have now gone by, but not a single day that you haven't run through my mind. Then one day out of the blue I was looking through my phone and what do you know, it was you. Warmth filled my chest, and I kind of lost my breath. With no words to say in that current time and space, only pure joy running through my veins.
Now that I'm thirty two, I found my first love. Now that I'm thirty two, I know what love is. Now that I'm thirty two, like always, I want you for all timE. Now that I'm thirty two, I've had my heart broken a few times. I've grown up and so have you, I'd like to one day share my name with you.
