My Prayer

Is there someone out there
Who can take away this pain
Who can clear up stormy weather
And rescue me from this rain

Lord please send me someone
Who will love me as I stand
Who will love like no other
Lord send to me a man

I'm smothering in these memories
I'm suffering deep inside
I'll blame all on others
They will blame it on my pride

I hurt so deep and for so long
I know there's a better way
Please open up your heart, dear Lord
And hear what I have to say

Lord I know there's someone
Who will offer me his hand
I do not want a child, dear Lord
Please send to me a man

So if there's someone for me
Please him hear my cry
Lord carry my voice joyously
Don't let him pass me by
