The World Through My Eyes

The world through my eyes, you ask
But description is such troublesome a task
So I will lend my eyes for you to see
The world through my eyes, this beautiful place to be.

The sun rose from its slumber,
Planting a kiss to make the world sober.
And I loved the irony of it all,
The sun's apology 'ere it's inevitable fall.

The sky was painted in marine hue,
As if the sun missed the ocean blue.
First lovers are hard to forget,
That is why the sun cries red at its set.

And in my eyes the sunset is a tragedy,
For the sky is forced to lucid reality.
And it's agony is a painter's dream,
Shades of dusk from the ethereal realm.

But that depends on the perceiving glass,
To some it's gold, to some it's brass.
A reflection from my mind is poetic,
My pen— ever so eager to capture the tragic.

Ask of the world from a lover's eye,
'A place of dreams,' he would sigh
For love makes everything alluring,
Night appears bright in shades of lightning.

If through my eyes you were to see,
You would find a world of beauty.
A place of crystal serene peace, mine—
the sweet cynical beauty and the saline.

Love, hate and the revered euphoric peace,
There is a plethora in every piece.
There is no black and white. But rainbows
Are seldom appreciated by the furious brows.

You can ask me once and twice again
Ask me in sunlight or in the rain,
But perhaps, from my answer I'll not sway,
The world, through my eyes, is a beautiful place to stay.
